Melton Mencap and Gateway is a small local voluntary organisation with charitable status. We aim to provide a range of activities to support children, young people and adults with a learning disability and their carers
Last summer many local young volunteers got involved with the Melton Mencap Summer Scheme, it runs for four weeks and provides new experiences and days out for children with learning disabilities, enabling them to play, seek adventure, and have fun!

Melton Mencap and Gateway is a small local voluntary organisation with charitable status. We aim to provide a range of activities to support children, young people and adults with a learning disability and their carers. Our service is available to people who either live in the borough of Melton or access services here.  A place at one of our groups is offered following assessment and is conditional on us being able to safely meet the needs of the individual. The organisation is managed by a small Executive Committee of Trustees from all walks of life carers and other concerned Individuals. We rely on grants, donations and fund raising to finance our programme of activities.

Supporting people of all ages who have learning disabilities. Our aim is that people enjoy life, follow their own interests, meet with their friends and access opportunities for leisure, relaxation, health, well being and pleasure either at our centre in Melton Mowbray or in the community.
